Glass Artist

Welcome to my site where I bring my love for glass art to life.

 

My journey began when I discovered stained glass while in college studying graphic design. Once I made my first stained glass window I immediately knew what I wanted to do. I was astonished at how beautiful the glass became when light shone through the piece. Glass and light set a mood changing continuously throughout the day depending on light exposure. In my work I use fine glass powders, glass stringers, sheet glass and heat to create unique designs and shapes. By using various techniques, I create vibrant colourful pieces, organic shapes with intricate patterns that are inspired by nature.

I was born in 1964 to an Italian father, a pianist and Canadian mother, a photographer. I grew up in the United States with a brother who is a painter, photographer, pilot. We spent our summers in British Columbia where both parents families lived.    

My husband Gary and I live in beautiful Turner Valley, Alberta.
